Graduated in painting from Tehran Art University in 2009. Elham Etemadi continued her academic career in France, at the University of Strasbourg, where in 2018 she obtained a PhD in Visual Arts on "The irruption of play in contemporary visual art".

Drawing on a dreamlike color palette and signature symbolism, she creates artworks that comment on the collective rules and elements that make up the universe in which we live.
Since 2005, she has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Europe and Asia. Her work has also been represented at fairs such as AKAA, Asia NOW, Contemporary Istanbul and the London Art Fair.
