Alongside this approach, I'm also developing a more intimate form of painting, which resonates with the scenographic spaces I propose.\n\nThis pictorial part of my work has been exhibited in various group shows, at the Salon de Montrouge and more recently at the Artoc\u00e8ne contemporary art biennial in Cha-monix.<\/div>\n<div class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\">Clarence Boulay's text on my paintings<\/div>\n<div class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\">Unfaithful mirrors, shadow plays with holes, bottomless pools, square branches... Sol\u00e8ne Ortoli's paintings free themselves from all known reference points to unfold a singular world where time seems to stand still. This sense of suspension is all the more pervasive as it is counterbalanced by the presence of elements that we guess have or will disrupt the scene.<\/div>\n<div class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\">This tension gives rise to a remarkable dramatic depth. Bathed in light, Sol\u00e8ne Ortoli's painting is unsettling in its apparent candor. But behind a pictu- ral vocabulary with na\u00efve accents, the artist draws us into a dreamlike universe far more complex than it seems.<\/div>\n<div class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\">These canvases never cease to unsettle the eye: soft shapes, angular pillars, scattered bodies, erroneous perspectives, confusion between interior and exterior, the painter's plastic alphabet transports us into a world of intranquil serenity.
