Like Hector Berlioz's id\u00e9e fixe in his Symphonie Fantastique, the leitmotif repeats its obsessive existence ad infinitum, here in a cloud of Indian ink motifs, ceramic tiles as the only horizon, textile ornaments, architectural lines in a city, metallic sparks like the nostalgia of faded traces of former homes, and bird wings wafting an effluvium of freedom. Leitmotifs declare their existence in a variety of forms, each charged with a distinct meaning, and lead a narrative to tell the story of their metamorphosis. They unfold their mythology, invoke spectres haunted by multiple emotions, and open windows onto a virtual reality that attempts to dialogue with the real. A rhyme in poetry, a refrain in music, and a form or color in the visible arts, the leitmotif is the principle of life itself, the repetition of a fragment and its evolution.
