BEYOND THE BINARY, Giuseppe Arnone<\/p>

The La La Lande Gallery is pleased to present BEYOND THE BINARY, a solo exhibition by Giuseppe Arnone, running from September 3 to 26 in the gallery\u2019s space at 56 rue Quincampoix, 75004 Paris.

<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h6>
For more than five years, Giuseppe Arnone has developed an artistic practice at the intersection of drawing, textiles, painting, sculpture, and installation. This exhibition brings together both early and recent works, reflecting an ongoing exploration of bodies, identities, collective narratives, and forms of resistance.

<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h6>
\"Beyond the Binary\" offers a reflection on what exists beyond imposed categories. Through a body of work in which organic forms, symbolic architectures, banners, and textile compositions converge, the exhibition explores spaces where boundaries become fluid, where identities elude fixed definitions, and where new ways of inhabiting the world can emerge.

<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h6>
Drawing occupies a foundational place within this practice. As a space of experimentation and projection, it gives rise to forms that subsequently migrate into other media. Over time, these forms become textiles, paintings, sculptures, or monumental installations. They continuously transform without ever settling into a definitive state,\nmirroring the identities they evoke. Their constant movement challenges the binary frameworks that seek to classify, define, or constrain existence.

<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h6>
Informed by reflections on gender, sexuality, and belonging, Giuseppe Arnone\u2019s work focuses on transitional zones, liminal spaces, and hybrid territories. Rather than representing fixed identities, the works seek to make visible processes of transformation, states of becoming, and forms of coexistence that escape dominant norms.\nTextiles play a central role in this research. They function both as material and metaphor: a metaphor for identities constructed through assemblage, transmission, repair, and continual reinvention. Each stitch, layer, and fragment contributes to the creation of complex forms that resist simplification and celebrate the multiplicity of human experience.

The banners that appear throughout the exhibition extend this reflection by drawing upon the visual languages of celebration, ritual, and collective mobilization. They affirm the possibility of new shared narratives and claim space for those whose histories have long been marginalized. Through them, the exhibition space becomes a site of symbolic gathering, where alternative representations of the body, gender, and community can be\nimagined.

Bringing together works from different periods of production, Beyond the Binary is not a retrospective in the conventional sense. Rather, the exhibition traces a cartography of transformations, in which each work appears as the record of an ongoing process of becoming. It invites viewers to imagine more open, inclusive, and liberated ways of living, capable of moving beyond the oppositions that continue to structure our perception of the world.
