Mahdi Baraghithi

Mahdi Baraghithi (born in 1991 in Ramallah, Palestine) is a visual artist working across performance, installation, and collage. His practice explores representations of masculinity and the male body in Arab societies — particularly in the Palestinian context — through the use of found images and ready-made objects.

Baraghithi holds an MFA from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Bourges, France (2018), and a BA in Contemporary Visual Arts from the International Academy of Art Palestine (2015). He also participated in several workshops and residencies, including the Home Workspace Program at Ashkal Alwan – the Lebanese Association for Plastic Arts (2015–16), and holds a diploma from the Palestinian Film Institute in Ramallah (2010).
